Alan Agresti

Overview

Distinguished Professor of Statistics at the University of Florida, Gainesville. One of the foremost authorities on categorical data analysis; author of the widely used textbooks Categorical Data Analysis (Wiley, 2002) and An Introduction to Categorical Data Analysis (Wiley). Research covers Bayesian and frequentist inference for contingency tables, logistic and ordinal regression, and confidence intervals for proportions. Co-author with David B. Hitchcock of the 2005 survey on Bayesian inference for categorical data.
