Torrin M. Liddell is a researcher at Indiana University Bloomington (Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences). He co-authored with John K. Kruschke the influential 2019 paper demonstrating that metric models applied to ordinal (Likert) data systematically produce false alarms, misses, and directional inversions, and arguing for Bayesian ordered-probit models as the correct alternative.
