Overview
Yancy D. Edwards is Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Lerner College of Business and Economics, University of Delaware. He is co-developer (with Greg M. Allenby) of the postprocessing approach to Bayesian estimation of the high-dimensional multivariate binomial probit model for pick any/J survey data.
Key Contributions
- Edwards and Allenby (2003): Proposes a general approach to identification restrictions in MCMC models — fit unconstrained, postprocess to identified subspace — applied to the multivariate binomial probit; enables J > 50 response options; demonstrates superiority over tetrachoric correlations for small samples and sparse data; three marketing applications (brand PCA, cross-selling scoring, membership attrition canonical correlation). See Multivariate Probit.
