Harry M. Rosenberg was a demographer and statistician at the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), Division of Vital Statistics. He is co-author of Anderson and Rosenberg (1998), the foundational paper documenting the U.S. transition from the 1940 to the 2000 standard population for computing age-adjusted death rates (AADRs), effective with NCHS data for reference year 1999. He also led NCHS research on the quality of race- and Hispanic-origin coding in U.S. death rates (Rosenberg et al. 1999, Vital and Health Statistics Series 2, No. 128).
