Overview
Laura Fratiglioni is a professor of geriatric epidemiology at the Karolinska Institutet (Stockholm) and Director of the Aging Research Center (ARC). Her research focuses on the epidemiology of aging, dementia, cognitive decline, and multimorbidity in elderly populations. She is a leading European authority on dementia epidemiology and on the interplay between chronic disease accumulation and cognitive and functional decline in old age.
