Moshe Buchinsky is a labor economist at UCLA (with affiliations at NBER and CREST-INSEE, France). He is known for methodological contributions to quantile regression and its applications to U.S. wage inequality dynamics. At the time of the Benítez-Silva et al. Key Contributions
- Benítez-Silva et al. (1999) — Co-author of the foundational HRS-based empirical decomposition of the DI "game tree"; contributed to the binary logit and marginal probability model estimation of application, appeal, and award decisions. See Conditional DI Applicants and SSA Sequential Determination Process.
- Benítez-Silva et al. (2004) — Co-author of the RUR hypothesis test; the paper's bootstrap methodology draws on Buchinsky's prior work (Andrews and Buchinsky 2000) on bootstrap repetition selection. See Rational Unbiased Reporting.
