Arthur L. Kellermann is vice president and director of RAND Health (Santa Monica, California). Before joining RAND, he was a professor of emergency medicine and public health and associate dean for health policy at the Emory School of Medicine, where he founded and served as first chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine (1999–2007). He served as a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellow (2006–07) with the professional staff of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. He was elected to the Institute of Medicine in 1999. He holds a master of public health degree from the University of Washington and a medical degree from Emory University.
