- DI applicants over the business cycle (Lindner, Burdick, and Meseguer 2017): Co-authored the state-panel analysis of the universe of DI applications (1991–2008), showing that higher unemployment raises applications and shifts composition toward higher-work-capacity conditional applicants, while the program's disincentive effect actually falls in recessions.
