Jesse Rothstein is an economist at UC Berkeley, affiliated with NBER. His research covers unemployment insurance, labor market policy, intergenerational mobility, and education. He is a leading empiricist on UI program design and has built widely-used datasets on state-level UI availability during the Great Recession.
