Stephen Morgan

Overview

Stephen L. Morgan is a sociologist at Johns Hopkins University. His research focuses on causal inference methods for social science, social stratification, and the consequences of educational attainment. He is the editor of the Handbook of Causal Analysis for Social Research (Springer, 2013), a comprehensive reference covering potential outcomes, directed acyclic graphs (DAGs), instrumental variables, and heterogeneous treatment effects. He is co-author (with Christopher Winship) of Counterfactuals and Causal Inference (Cambridge University Press, 2014).
