- Co-author of Stewart, Cutler, and Rosen (2009) in NEJM: life-table simulation forecasting 2005–2020 U.S. life expectancy and QALE under joint BMI and smoking trends; used MEPS EQ-5D data to derive quality-of-life weights; found BMI increase (−1.02 LE years) dominates smoking decline (+0.31 LE years) for a net −0.71 LE years by 2020.
