Overview
Parag A. Pathak is the Jane Berkowitz Carlton and Dennis William Carlton Professor of Microeconomics at MIT and a Research Associate at NBER. He works on market design — particularly the design of school assignment mechanisms (Boston mechanism, deferred acceptance algorithm) — and on empirical evaluation of charter schools and school choice policies using lottery-based identification strategies.
